Cricket: India bowl first against New Zealand
India won the toss and elected to bowl first in the opening one-day international against New Zealand in Napier on Sunday.
The world's top-ranked India side have been in New Zealand for a week and captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni said he was satisfied with the preparation and adjusting to New Zealand conditions.
New Zealand have left out veteran new-ball bowler Kyle Mills in favour of 21-year-old Adam Milne, their first bowler in a decade capable of deliveries in excess of 150 kilometres per hour (93mph).
Captain Brendon McCullum said his side wanted to be "as hostile as we can with ball in hand".
The match is the first of five ODIs to be followed by two Tests.
